Weekly meditation group with Xavier Puigdevall

To meditate is to cultivate the habit of an honest mind and a kind heart.

If we develop and increase our qualities of kindness and honesty, we can rid ourselves of all different types of suffering.

To achieve this is of utmost importance to practice of meditation ( to develop a calm mind ) to investigate and transform our character and habits that create suffering.

We share these weekly gatherings with Xavier Puigdevall, experienced teacher in meditation and therapy, who guides us for a loving and nonjudgmental awareness.

Xavier Puigdevall Oliver is the founder and director of the Escola de l’Ésser: Centro de Terapia y Meditación in Barcelona, as well as the founder and president of the Asociación Bodhicitta Escola de l’Ésser, a non-profit organization.

He has 40 years of experience as a therapist specializing in Gestalt therapy and as a therapist trainer. He is a meditation practitioner and disciple of the masters Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche of the Chokling Tersar lineage in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He has extensive experience leading groups from the perspective of individual care, while also embracing the richness that comes with developing it in a group setting.

With his love and wisdom, it is easy to let oneself be guided by him to begin or continue this path to acquire full awareness. Therefore, no prior meditative experience is necessary to participate. This is an individual path in a group context.

In 2018, he published a book, “La atención como estado interior”, in which he compiles different meditative practices from an eclectic perspective, including his own contributions and nuances based in his own experience as a meditator.
